Objectives
The project aims at building competences in E-learning, Participatory Geographical Information Systems and Integrated Watershed Management at university level to increase academic training capacities for primary and secondary teachers in Kenya and Uganda.
Activities
Conduction of four training seminars, each of one week (1 in Germany, 1 in Kenya, and 2 in Uganda). Participants undertook practical PGIS work and translated the results into self-explanatory e-learning materials.
Archievments
20 experts from Kenyan and Ugandan higher education and training institutes developed competences in developing e-learning materials with regard to participatory geographical information systems to be utilised by primary and secondary school teachers.
